Dr. John H. Kelsey received his dental degree from the University
of Michigan in 1987. He then completed a General Practice Residency
at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in affiliation with the
University of Connecticut. After completing his residency program,
Dr. Kelsey returned to the University of Michigan as a full-time faculty
member for two years before pursuing his interest in orthodontics.
Dr. Kelsey attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a Master's
degree and certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Heekyoung Jo completed her dental education at the prestigious
Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea in 1986. Dr. Jo continued
her education at the University of Indiana where she received a Master's
degree in preventative dentistry. Her interests in orthodontics led her
to the University of Minnesota where she earned a second Master's degree
and certificate in orthodontics.
The doctors met and married following their graduation from their
orthodontic program.
Drs. Kelsey and Jo compliment their many years of private practice
experience with teaching appointments in the Orthodontic Department
at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry. Drs.
Kelsey and Jo are both Assistant Clinical Professors, teaching didactic
and clinical courses in the Graduate Department of Orthodontics.
Drs. Kelsey and Jo are active members of the dental community with
memberships in the following organizations:

- American Association of Orthodontists
- Illinois Society of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Illinois State Dental Society
- Chicago Dental Society
